NOSS exists to support professionals in educational institutions in making a positive difference in the lives of students. 

CHAPTER DOCUMENTS

NOSS welcomes new chapters from areas who do not currently have a chapter.  Those interested in starting a chapter may contact the NOSS office at acook@thenoss.org.  A chapter must have a minimum of 25 members from a state or region, and the officers of the chapter must be members of NOSS.  Reminder:  NOSS chapters are asked to update the name of their chapter and their website to reflect the national organization's new name.

Free NOSS membership for Chapter Conferences

  • Each chapter is given one free NOSS membership to award at their annual conference.
  • Those eligible to win are people attending the conference who have been been a mbmer of NOSS or NADE.
  • Chapters offiers are not eligible including incoming offiers who are new to the organize since they are supposed to be members to hold office.
  • Each chapter may determine how the award will be given. Many use it as a door prize.
  • Once the winner is determined, a chapter officer should contact the NOSS office with the name and email of the winner.

Chapter Activity Report -- Due annually on April 1st and November 1st.

Chapter Grant Information--Each chapter in good-standing of NOSS is eligible to apply once per year for the grants listed below. Questions should be sent to the NOSS Vice President.

  • Applications will be accepted throughout the year. (See application below.)
  • Submissions must be received by the NOSS Vice President no later than two weeks prior to the related activity.
  • All requests for reimbursement must be received by June 1 of the same fiscal year. 
  • Reimbursement:  Upon grant completion, the chapter treasurer must submit the NOSS Reimbursement Request available on the NOSS website.  This form includes a request for details of expenses and scanned receipts.  The reimbursement will be made payable to the chapter, and the chapter should reimbursement the individual requesting payment.
  • Chapters may be requested to share their activity at the annual conference.
  • Type A Grant: Executive Board members for Chapter Activities
  • Type B Grant: Special Projects (Be specific.)
