Program Content

The NOSS 2025 conference program will include presentations on the following strands:  advising and counseling, education reform and trends, educational technology, general interest sessions, K-12 Bridges, leadership, research and evaluation, social justice:  equity, access and inclusion, student services, teaching and learning, tutoring and support services.

Concurrent/breakout sessions and PIE proposals are being accepted for the 2025 conference. 

Proposals

All presenters of accepted proposals are required to register for the conference. No remote or virtual presentations permitted. The priority* deadline for proposals is June 1, 2024, and the final deadline is September 1, 2024. 

*Priority means that proposals received by June 1st get preferred time slots on the schedule if they are accepted.


Network Chairs and others receiving a Guaranteed Session will be sent the form for that type of session via email. Please do not complete one of the forms below.

Proposal Guidelines and Information

  • All concurrent sessions in the program will be 45 minutes.
  • All presenters of accepted proposals must register for the conference by December 18, 2024, to be included on the program.
  • Presenters must be at the conference. No virtual presentations are planned.
  • If the proposal has more than one presenter, only one proposal form should be submitted.
  • For teaching and learning proposals, please include the discipline in your title (i.e. math, writing, etc.)
  • Course numbers should not be in titles or descriptions. Instead, use descriptive words such as intermediate, advanced, etc.
  • If an abbreviation or acronym is used, be sure it is defined in the description.
  • Avoid the use of pronouns when possible.
  • When referencing research or adding citations, please use APA style.
  • Presentations promoting a specific commercial product or service must be sponsored by an exhibitor who has purchased a booth in the exhibit hall.
  • Fee waivers for invited speakers/panelists must be requested in advance and approved by the NOSS Executive Board.
  • Information about co-presenters will appear at the end of the proposal form, if applicable.
  • Acceptance confirmation or other feedback will be emailed to all presenters by October 15th.
  • Presentation rooms will include a projector and screen. If the room is larger than a typical classroom, it will also include a microphone and speaker.
  • Presenters are responsible for bringing a laptop or tablet with HDMI-compatible connection.
  • No virtual presentations will be accepted.
