NOSS celebrates excellence by offering a variety of awards and scholarships.

Awards are presented at the annual conference.

The deadline for nominations is October 15th.


The following information is needed to complete a nomination for an award via the application linked below.

To be considered for an award, a nominee must be a member of NOSS except for the following awards: Scholarship for Student in Student Success Program, Outstanding Alumnus of a Student Success Program, and Outstanding Support of Student Success Programs,

Outstanding Support of Student Success Programs

Recognizes the special contributions and support of an individual, other than professionals working in student success programs, to student success programs.


Outstanding Service to Student Success 

Recognizes long-term service to and support of programs related to student success by a NOSS member; winner invited to present at the following annual conference


Outstanding Individual Contribution to NOSS

Recognizes long-term contribution of service to the association by a NOSS member


Outstanding Research by a NOSS Member

Honors recently completed non-thesis/dissertation research by a NOSS member in published or unpublished form

Award: $500 stipend (shared if multiple researchers), invited to present at next conference, plaques for up to 3 researchers


Adjunct Instructor Award

Assists in defraying expenses for attendance for one adjunct at the NOSS annual conference who is employed on a part-time basis with a higher education program that supports student success; includes fee waiver to attend conference


Outstanding Thesis/Dissertation

Honors recently completed thesis or dissertation research by a NOSS member; winner invited to present at next conference


Outstanding Alumnus of a Student Success Program

Recognizes an alumnus of a student success program who has distinguished himself/ herself in an educational career and other areas of life; winner invited to share 3-5 minutes speech at conference


Scholarship for Student in Student Success Program

Supports graduates of Student success programs as they continue their college degree aspirations; $500 and winner invited to share 3-5 minutes speech at conference

Graduate Study Scholarship

Promotes graduate study in a student success-related field for the purpose of advancing research and/or practice in the field

Award:  $500 stipend, presentation at conference after completion of program

Recognizes outstanding contributions to NOSS in each respective area; winners selected by NOSS Executive Board & J-NOSS Editorial Board
