NOSS celebrates excellence by offering a variety of awards and scholarships.
Awards are presented at the annual conference.
The deadline for nominations is October 15th.

AWARD INFORMATION To be considered for an award, a nominee must be a member of NOSS except for the following awards: Outstanding Alumnus of a Developmental Education Program, NOSS Award to an Administrator or Public Servant for Outstanding Support to Student Success, Martha Maxwell Student Scholarship. Recognizes the special contributions and support of an individual, other than professionals working in student success programs, to student success programs. |
This award recognizes excellence (e.g., service, conferences, political advocacy, and professional development) in state and regional NOSS chapters. |

Gladys R. Shaw Award for Outstanding Service to and Support of Student Success Programs |
Recognizes long-term service to and support of programs related to student success by a NOSS member. Award: $500 stipend, invited to present at next conference |
Henry Young Award for Outstanding Individual Contribution to NOSS |
Recognizes long-term contribution of service to the association by a NOSS member Award: plaque |
Hunter R. Boylan Award for Outstanding Research by a NOSS Member |
Honors recently completed non-thesis/dissertation research by a NOSS member in published or unpublished form ($500 stipend) Award: $500 stipend (shared if multiple researchers), invited to present at next conference, plaques for up to 3 researchers |
Assists in defraying expenses for attendance for one adjunct at the NOSS annual conference who is employed on a part-time basis with a higher education program that supports student success Award: includes fee waiver to attend conference |
