Welcome to the Mississippi Chapter of NOSS!
MEMBERSHIP in NOSS-MS
NOSS-MS members are faculty and staff who serve developmental education in a variety of capacities. In addition to teaching college study skills, First-Year-Experience courses, Co-Requisite English and math, reading, and writing courses, our members also work in learning centers, student support programs, retention and assessment programs, and advising and counseling programs. Many of our institutions’ programs provide supplemental instruction, tutoring, mentoring, and labs for college courses.
We welcome your involvement and membership. Membership is open to any individual engaged in higher education or interested in the purposes of NOSS-MS. Annual membership runs from October 1st through September 30th.
Benefits of membership include:
- Annual fall conference (membership included in conference registration fees)
- The NOSS-MS newsletter published two times a year (winter and summer)
- Board or committee involvement
- Recognition awards in developmental education for educators, administrators, and students
- Networking with other educators at the state regional, national, and international level
- Leadership opportunities at the regional and national levels
- Publication/presentation opportunities in newsletters and at conferences
Membership levels and fees include:
- Individual Member $60
- Institutional Membership (up to 10 members): $300
- Student Member $20
If you are not able to attend the conference, you may still join NOSS-MS.
